Former President Barack Obama laid out his plans for his presidential library set to be built in Chicago. It will be one of the biggest projects on the South Side with a cost of at least $500 million. Obama wants his center to be a hub for the community. It will become a part of Jackson Park and will include a children's play area to attract families from the community and a community garden for schoolchildren. “What we want this to be is the world’s premier institution for training young people in leadership to make a difference in their countries, in their communities and in the world,” Obama said. Construction is expected to be completed in 2021.
