Charleston Church shooter Dylann Roof is sentenced to death after being found guilty on 33 counts. The 22-year-old white supremacist killed nine during bible study on June 7, 2015. In his jailhouse journal, he showed no remorse for the killings. During the trial, Roof denied psychological incapacity, he called no witnesses and presented no evidence in his defense. According to the Justice Department, Roof will the first federal hate crime defendant to be sentenced to death.
